Did you had time to test it already ?
Just got done playing with it. I no longer have access to a 100× magnification device but under 30x I saw no sign of the edge degrading from a fine thuringian stone. It acts very similar to my schwedenstein. It's a medium fast cutting stone and makes a very fine finisher. The shave was rather pleasant compared to my other finishers!!

It was shipped out of Connecticut and I just read the sellers description ( I know you should read the description before buying but it was only $4 so I didn't care) and found some possibly helpful information involving it being used by a photographer. I'm not sure if it would help but it's a hope.
