Nagura's from mailman and a gift???
I finally got my Nagura's and because I waited so long for my order, as the owner of JNS was on holiday vacation then was having personal problems at home, he sent this yellowish brown stone for free. No info with it at all so I don't know what it is. And being new to stones I cant even guess. I'm still short a Tomo Nagura as I didn't know of this item. Guess I'll be ordering another at a later date.
So what is it?
I'll give the Nagura's a try this weekend if I get a chance. Like a kid in a candy store and don't know what to do!
It's just Sharpening, right?

Thanked: 59Looks like a delicious piece of Kiita, or maybe Shobudani!!! Is it ripping fast? Looks to be. Or, since it sucks up water, sounds and looks like my Awatani Kiita.
OMG!! Is there a high grade Koma in there?Last edited by Aerdvaark; 01-20-2017 at 02:51 AM.

Thanked: 59I don't think it's your phone.... I see it also.. If so, it was most likely used for a long bladed object, sword?

Thanked: 481My first thought was this thread:
http://straightrazorpalace.com/hones...ow-nagura.html
And more specifically, this item:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
But then I saw the dimensions, and a barber hone size rock doesn't quite make sense for a piece of Nagura. I'm at a loss on this one, Japanese stones area mystery to me.

For a second there it reminded me of this little guy (nagura on top of the stone)
But Stefan is correct, I think I saw that stone on his website before. As the time passes, so we learn.
