Default Nagura's from mailman and a gift???

I finally got my Nagura's and because I waited so long for my order, as the owner of JNS was on holiday vacation then was having personal problems at home, he sent this yellowish brown stone for free. No info with it at all so I don't know what it is. And being new to stones I cant even guess. I'm still short a Tomo Nagura as I didn't know of this item. Guess I'll be ordering another at a later date.

    So what is it?
I'll give the Nagura's a try this weekend if I get a chance. Like a kid in a candy store and don't know what to do!

Damp. Side view. Sucks up water pretty well. Not like my Nortons. Ha.
    2 5/8x4 3/4x3/4 at the thinnest part.

Looks like a delicious piece of Kiita, or maybe Shobudani!!! Is it ripping fast? Looks to be. Or, since it sucks up water, sounds and looks like my Awatani Kiita.

OMG!! Is there a high grade Koma in there?

Is that top surface curved? Or is that me viewing it on a phone?

I don't think it's your phone.... I see it also.. If so, it was most likely used for a long bladed object, sword?

My first thought was this thread:

    http://straightrazorpalace.com/hones...ow-nagura.html

    And more specifically, this item:

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

But then I saw the dimensions, and a barber hone size rock doesn't quite make sense for a piece of Nagura. I'm at a loss on this one, Japanese stones area mystery to me.

Looks to me as though there is indeed a rare high grade Koma. Congrats! Put it to good use. You will have lots of fun with it.

It is a synthetic barbers hone. According to JNS it should be used to refresh edges

For a second there it reminded me of this little guy (nagura on top of the stone)

But Stefan is correct, I think I saw that stone on his website before.
