    How much time do you want to spend in one honing session? Starting with setting the bevel.

    I have other stones I would mainly be using for touch ups

    In this case JNS might have the best prices for you for nagura + a base stone.

    Jb's is where I have been looking. What about Tokyoaframe? Why are stones so much cheaper here? Can you explain ex vac inc vac on jns

    I have not tried the stones he sells, but I know others have been happy. He takes returns if not satisfied (check with him about the exact conditions for that).

    VAT - value added tax. If you are buying from the US you don't pay it. Once you enter your address for shipping you end up paying for the item without the added tax so just look at the tax excluded prices.

    That's where I got my Shoubu. About the same size as a barber hone, maybe a little longer, with tomo nagura for I want to say a little under $100 all in. They don't seem to last long, so you kinda have to strike while the iron is hot.
