    Default Slurry stone custom box

I finally had the time to finish this slurry stone box I was working on to match the box I made for my thurri stone. It took more time than I thought but it came out better(more refined) than my thurri box. Even the shellac looks better. The two boxes were made from repurposed wood that was very finely grained with over 120 bands. When I found it I thought perfect for my box. I used a Japanese chisel, a dremel, sand paper, and a fine brush. Name: 20170703_163457.jpg

My next box is for my Nakayama kiita with it's tomo nagura. I just have not made up my mind whether or not to add my Asano nagura or to make another box for that. Leaning towards making a other box but one box at a time. Lol

    Well now that's just lovely.

Obviously the extra time paid off, you must be really happy with that.
