    Default Escher green-yellow!

    hey all!

Just picked up this Escher for 120$!! i think I got a steal but correct me if I'm wrong, any additional info on Eschers in general would be great!

I specifically was curious about the colour label having only german no english, could this help identify the date?

I think the colour signifies the quality but any ideational metics would be appreciated.

Excellent. They are very good hones. I expect it won't take long before you are enjoying finishing some really great edges.

Great hones, and that looks in very good condition. Mine has similar inclusions, don't affect the hone at all.
There are a few threads on how to clear seal the label on the hone, which might be worth considering if you gonna use it.

Someone sent me an unmarked thuri once, same color and had those stretch mark looking lines on it. It was finer than the labeled Escher that I had of the same color by a noticeable amount.

I couldn't get the guy to part with it.

My YG has the same sort of inclusions and produces fantastic edges.

If you want to double your money ........... ..............

Kidding aside, great score, aside from it being a minty Escher y/g complete with slurry, the Barber's Delight is one of the most sought after.
