Thanked: 481Yellow Lakes are typically purple or grey with green inclusions. Can't say they don't come in green for certain, but I don't think this is one of those.

I don't believe this to be a CF. If I hadn't seen the pictures and only saw your description, that would be my first guess. but my CFs are a much "duller" green than that. and like RezDog said, many of them have red/brown streaks or blots through them. Not a requirement by any means though. Mine are both about x4 as thick as this one (+2" thick), which is pretty typical from most CF's I've seen, they tend to be a bit chunkier.
I would be curious to see what it looks like dry

Hardness - that's right: hard enough but not as an ark or charnley.
there is a bit of info about subj (rus):
Cambrian Green - Guns.ru Talks
It's not a thuri or smth else, but it's a nice stone and I should say you're a lucky: this example is very pure (no yellow sparks).

Interesting. Looks too green to me to be a CF. Hope you find out what it is. Has Piet looked at it yet?

It could be a Charnley Forest. Especially the last picture indicates that. The brownish crack. Looks like Charnley Forest.
It could also be a Lynn Idwal, with is also a novaculite, like the CF. LI is around 10K and CF is around 12K.
I have a CF with is similar.
From left to right. First 3 is CF. Number 2 from left resembles yours. No 4 is a Lynn Idwal and no 5 a Cutlers Green.
