Thread: Found Some of My Hones & Stuff!

We are having late Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow & I was out in the "Shop" looking for some self tapping screws to put our big table back together after our move to Ashmore. Anyway as I had posted I haven't been able to find many of my hones , strops & my better razors since the move. Well I found the screws I needed & as usual dropped some of them. I was looking around on the floor & looked in a basket I had not seen & there was the tool bag with most of my good hones & a few other small tools. I was so happy to get my 16K. Shapton & a bunch of my other hones & my diamond spray.Now I just need to find the rest of the hones including my new Shapton Pro 1K. , both of my vintage shell strops & several of my better razors.
Now I can hone up my W&B 15/16" "For Barber use" near wedge with a nice smile. This is one of those not gonna ever be a real pretty razor but it has pretty good scales that aren't to bad & the pins & washers look good. I like to restore as they were built.
This is the style of razor I want to build & now that I have use of a good friends forge I can get started making razors & knives. Can I say I am HAPPY!!

Congrads on finding some of your stuff. Moving can really upset life. But in the end we hope its all for the best. The wife and i decided that we will move when they drag our dead bodys out of the house. It just aint going to happen again!

Wish my Coti had been in that bag! The move was for the best in every way but for finding my stuff. We hired people to load & unload the truck & they didn't put some of the stuff where I would have. I was not able to be here when they unloaded the truck. Had to load our trailer & van after the truck left St. Joseph. I am not planning to move any time soon that is for sure!
When I get this old Wade & Butcher cleaned up & honed I will try & get some pictures on here!!
