I forgot to add that I spoke to him about shipping to the U.S. and he stated that he spoke to Fedex and they did not think it would pass customs so that made him fearfull of him geeting a bad reputation so he did not want to risk his reputation. I told him the other sharpening stone company has a Etsy store and they ship to the U.S. He was surprised and said he would definately look into it with government officials. As he did have a interest in growing his business into the U.S. I even offered to be the guinea pig for a smaller nicely figured one if I liked my big one. I have to wait and see but things are looking good up to this point. Like I said I have my fingers crossed. I have purchased over thirty stones and only been wrong once. I have a good feelings about this one but only time will tell! Thanks Guys!

No I do not know what type of stone it is. It might have been used for making Mayan buildings! Lol. I spoke with the seller and another stone enthusiast from Mexico and they sent me some cool pictures to share. These are from the mine and them shaping them at the mine. A couple show how good a finish the leave with the prybar chisels they use to for this task.
