    Only pics I have of that on the phone. That stone is gorgeous to use though. I have heard of ppl finding tsushima black ocean here in america but I haven't

    Jnat would be my guess. Face of stone looks strongly like a Japanese. Sides look like old cut marks that run parallel to the surface and then smoothed out but still can see them in the middle of the stone. Back has kawa.

    I believe JNat as well. Reminds me of some Ohira Suita I have seen. Beautiful face pattern like clouds, wood-grained-like layering on the sides, and the interesting skin and chisel marks on the back are are very cool. A few of the dark grey spots on the face look like they may be residual oil contamination from (mis)use or poor storage with oil stones.

    It wasn't used with oil but it was stored in an area where it picked some up.

    Man that's a real shame. Contaminated. Worthless now. Probably will contaminate your other stones if left unchecked.
