Thread: Unknown UK Stone

Slate, looks like schwedenstein but they are softer

I personally rule out a Schwedenstein...the patterns do look to different and there is not enough variation in color....

My guess is that it could be a „Genuine Blue Sharpening Stone“ from UK. They appear from time to time, often in smal wooden boxes. One example appeared as a bench Stone without box and label. The material looks blueish/gray with some nice looking patterns. Also there is a kind of a metallic look comparable to the french Special / La Lune Stones.

Pattern is definitely similar, but the color is very different. How hard is it and fine is It? The stone I have is super hard and dense and very fine. The color is more green aqua.
