    I have search the forum and have been unable to find the answer to my question. What grit is the Frictionite #24?

    It's a fine finishing grit. actual number unknown.

    Thanks, I guess the next step would be comparisons from those of you who have used this hone. What would you compare it to, a 10-12K , 16K.

    Default Frictionite 00

    I have this and it has two sides for honing. One side starts and the other finishes. I just got it and don't really have it figured out. It has a small stone with it and instructions indicating its quality and warnings about over honing. Anybody know anything about this one.

    I got one.
    It does well with finishing. I took a couple blades from low grit (1k-4k) to the frictionite #24 and got nice results on a finished edge. I just used it to touch up my TI Super Gnome, and without a paste followup it shaves nicely.
    I can't compare it to any grit because from what I can tell it finishes finer than my Norton 8k, yet not quite as smooth as my 8k rated coticule.
