If you look at the picture on timbertool.com's site you'll see it is exactly the same as the one on MST's site.
Also the sizes are the same as those of MST's Original-Thuringians.
So my guess is: these are MST Original Thuringians.

I bought the large thuringian stone from Timber Tools a few months ago. It is a great polishing stone and the large stone comes with a slurry stone.(the box it came in had MST something or other crossed out in black marker)
My opinion might not mean much as it is the only one I have besides a chinese 12k. I have also not been honing very long,(6 mo.) but I have gotten great results using it with my Norton 1k, 4k, 8k, then the Thuringian followed by a CO pasted paddle strop
The stone itself came finished on one side and had no inclusions. It is blue/grey and when wet turns very dark blue.
The only problem I had was that when I bought it they had it advertised as an Esher. They have since changed the ad. I do not regret the purchase because it seems to be the same type of quality that everyone raves about on this site.
Hope this helps!!Last edited by jjpharris; 12-12-2008 at 11:50 PM.
