Thanked: 1212On top is a vintage Coticule with a typical creamy color.
Below is my pink Coticule. I bought this one during a visit at Ardennes Coticule.
Coticules are not porous, you can use them with what ever you want. Oil or gasoline, even butter if you like. But the general consensus is water.

Thanked: 1212PM Rob Celis, from ArdennesCoticule. Tell him it's all my fault...
Maybe he has something lying around. When my friends and I visited the quarry, Rob allowed us to search through the stock. The funny thing is, I was in doubt between a pink stone and a weird green one, when Rob approached me and said: "I believe my father would recommend you the pink one." I remember asking the price of both...
I have no idea. Is it a Belgian hone?? No offense, but why on Earth were you asking information about a "pink Belgian hone"? I don't know anything about Eshers and alikes, but doesn't this one looks more like a Thuringian hone?

Thanked: 3795It sure doesn't look like a coticule. Do you see any garnets in it? If you have access to any kind of magnification, does the stone appear homogenous? Most naturals look quite homogenous but coticules definitely do not.
