At this point in time.... I think I shall start calling it BFH of course the H would be Hone instead of Hammer
We of course could switch it to PITA hone if this thread continues too much longer

    Or Perhaps HIBABBIWCNNU ????

Which would be very appropriate for many people, as it means "Hone I Bought As a Beginner Because It Was Cheap and Now Never Use" Pronouned natually "Hibabbi wicnu"

Sounds like HP Lovecraft's Cluthlu Mythos. ( the proper smiley to end the sentence is the wide eyed fearful one but it got lost in the update. ) Use your imagination.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Utopian... I took Latin in h.s. and still remember enough of it after 45 years to appreciate your tag line "Illegitimum non carborundum" (^-^)d

P.S. When you practice thread necromancy you sometimes bring back more than you intended! (^0^)

And if you remember your Latin sufficiently, then you should appreciate that my signature line is technically not Latin! A thankfully former member made a big deal out of that, but I stuck to my motto and disregarded him.

Regarding the thread resurrection, it was exactly what I intended!

True, I don't remember enough to correct the phrase since the expression contains an irregular verb form, but that is enough to give people the right idea ^0^

Henceforth I must refer to you as 'Ash'. Gotta love a good ode to the oldies.

I actually just received delivery of:
    15000 grit whetstone for fine honing. 2" x 6" x 16" | eBay

I would refer to it as a C15k, but I don't want to be e-drawn and e-quartered. I am a newb and I did not want to pay alot for this muffler, err hone.

I'm going to start another thread with pics of mine and some questions, if you could look for it and chime in, I would be much obliged.

I'd really hate to have to lap that beast.
