Red dots in the stone...purple slurry...I would bet anything it's a BBW.
If you want to know anything for sure, I'd say PM Bart and send it over to him to play with. He would be your best bet on finding something out, aside from the Rob at Ardennes.

I did get to use the hone today. I ran several passes on it coming off a norton 4/8 k pyramid. It appeared to make the scratches smaller (or polish the edge a little more) It is still hard for me to tell as I only have a 10X loupe. I did my normal cromox leather strop passes after coming off this stone and I shaved rather well. So now I am really confused. If it were a bbw would it not dull the edge a little coming off the 4/8? I guess I just need a better loupe and little more time!
