If you are talking about hida tool, they for some reason take forever to ship their stuff. They charged me for UPS shipping but it took 2 weeks to get the stone

When and what did you order Sham? I'd be interested in your opinion before I make a purchase if you ordered from Hida Tool.

So, if I went with the naturals, I could get the Amukasa white and the Aoto. But going from the 4K to the coticule seems like a big jump.

I will probably ask the seller from eBay and see what he says.

Going from 4k to Coticule would be about the same as going from 4k to 8k, which in not that big a jump.

Or you could just skip the Aoto, and use BBW instead, which is easier if you buy a combo coticule, and you'll likely get a better edge off the BBW than the Aoto anyway.

I don't know why I didn't think of that. I have a nice BBW already.

Thus all I would need is the Amukasa .

Then I could go from the Amukasa to the BBW to the coticule and then either shave or on to either my Nakayama, Frankonian or even the butterscotch hone.

After some thought, I decided the Dragon's Tongue was a reasonable addition.

I am deciding which Aoto stone will be best for me.

that's the other site that Hida Tool owners run.
by the way the 5k Suehiro Rika is a very good stone, its very fast for 5k , pretty much feels like 1k stone.
