Thread: Help with hone identity.

Thanks for all the opinions! I was hoping the clipped corner was a bit of an indication of it being a natural of some sort. I know it's only there to indicate orientation, but i've not seen it done to a synthetic (Probably till now!). I'll know soon enough, I guess.

Hello Ben. Congratulation you were quicker than. I was waiting for more pics but seller was somehow reluctant to send them. Do you have it already home? I was under impression that the measurements were of the box rather than stone and my guess was that it was slate. As about the size of CF my biggest is 2"2/8 in width and I have yet to see any bigger.
Still for that kind of money even that box is worth more.
Once more congrats and keep us posted.

I bought one that looked almost exactly like it, unfortunately after lapping it turned out as an india oilstone , I thought it was rust also but turned out to be all orange.
