    I purchased a chinese water stone from that guy on ebay. The stone is very nice, it was lapped and edges were beveled and it took about a week to get to me.

    FWIW, I just did an ebay search for his stones. I can get an 8x2 from him in Poland for $40 USD shipped. OTOH, I can get the 8x2 from Woodcraft for $20 + whatever shipping is and if the stone has any problems, inclusions or whatever, it is an easy return or exchange. Woodcraft gets $35 for the 8x3. I bought the 8x2 a year or two ago. Haven't used it much but it has been alright when I have used it.
    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
