If you only knew !! Sham has more stones than a passenger train could haul (paraphrasing Jimmie Rogers, 'T For Texas' )
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Are there thick and thin bands down the side(couplets)?

To me, it looks like chert. The Native Americans used it. I have a arrowhead somewhere that looks like that material. It will make a sharp, irregular edge if struck.

Weepin' Jesus on the Cross! That is one uh-gly stone. The indians put a curse on their beloved chert for the Pale-Face driving them from their lands to search on account of Gold Fever.

Supposedly it will make the bearer of said unsightly stone to become repellant to women and he will never successfully copulate, whilst in his possession. Rumor has it that it is also passed on vis-a-vie your progeny.

Tell you what I'll do. I will take the hideous stone and the Old Indian Curse will be lifted. You must act quickly though. Time is of the essence. Remember that Gypsy curse on the Clan Kennedy?

Aw, c'mon man! Think of your children at least you selfish fornicatin' bastard!

No, don't thank me. I am a two-headed traveling carnival freak where peoples pay $2 bucks a go to look at some real terror. It's my job.

Now, where is the map to those grave sites and how about my dynamite?
