Very nice. One is this one, right? I hated you/Randy for a short while for winning that one

Thanked: 2209Looking good. The type of marks on the sides of the hones are the same and so is the color. When I come to the MO razor meet I would like to try one. Good catch!

I read up on those when I first heard about them. IIRC the rock was common enough in Indiana that it was used for grave markers in many cases. Sticky was kind enough to send me a small barber hone sized piece , among others, that he ran into up that way. Nice looking rock Sham.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Interesting rock, thanks for the pictures and honing comments. How many nameless unidentified hones do you have? I have about a dozen, and sure wish I knew more about their history and physical nature.
