    No mate its apiece of a4 white paper i used as backing it magnified as well. I never used the felt which i think lynn uses with .5 diamond spray. I have in my posession full rang of the new bio diamaond shapening paste and 4 sideded paddle. This stuff cuts fast and can be harsh if you over do it. I realy like the ti rasoir paste and cr.ox. I find a well honed razor with my coticules and i don't need any paste. i've heard good things about diamond spray. This can also be harsh also less is better.

    Is your DMT1200 a continous version? Mine isn't, I didn't know there were two kinds when I bought it last year. I think it makes some what of a difference, I have yet to see a thread comparing the two though. I also failed to think about the breaking in process on the DMTs.

    Yes it is. i alsso have the newer type in a duo sharp 325/600 which bart uses.
