Thanked: 335I think y'all may be overlooking this chunk of honing history might possibly be "deep carborundum", some of the premier abrasive substance from the lowest depths of the Pike Mines in New Hampshire. This comes from the bottom side of the vein, thus the nomenclature "deep" as you have to dig all the way around the vein to get to the choicest material at the base of the deposit. ...Or so I've been told.
