Thread: Winner hone?

Thanks for the tip gugi. I just got lucky with that hone. After doing a lot of research on this site and ordering my first razor, I just got on Craigslist and there it was. I was so glad to have found a nice one with great packaging that I didn't even dicker on price. The guy I bought it from didn't know the exact age of it. But said from the looks of the estate sale where he got it, most stuff looked like it dated back to the 40's. So while it doesn't actally date it properly, I'm glad to have it. It's a real nice piece.

Wow .. Re-resurecting a resurected thread but i just picked up the exact same Winner Combination Razor hone as the Original Poster Greatgoogamooga.
So how did yours work anyways ?
I worked at lapping for a while but she's pretty hard ... I've spent the last year looking for barber's hones locally and today i found 2 !
Go figure .... The second hone is also 2-tone but is rougher and un-named so i will post pics of it under "please id this hone" later.
