My new Escher hone!
Well, I paid a ton of money on for this on Ebay last week, I think it was well worth it for future investment. It is a dark blue according to the label on the side of the stone. Does anyone know where "Dark blue" would fit on the Escher scale? We really need your Escher chart to be finished, Jimmy!
Anyway, here are some pictures to inspire worldwide jealously and HAD (I don't have a program to resize images right now, apologies for the sizes!)

Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

They made more than one and they can become habit forming IME. Beautiful stone !
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

That is a hone to be proud of owning! Congratulations. Eschers of any color work wonderfully, as you are about to discover. You will notice a new crisp sharpness to your blade edges, and the steel will be smoother and more polished. Now you need to collect the whole spectrum of colors! I only have two, but have hopes of snagging more........( but not enough money, though!)

The only Escher I have is a "Dark Blue", and it works pretty well. I am still lookin' for a lighter color Escher to keep ol' blue company.
Very cool stone, and great find with the slurry stone & box intact!
