old barbers hone with instrustions

I though that you guys would like to look at this old thing, The hone that it came with is a laudys hone and it works nice for a touch up razor, I m happy that i saved this instruction sheet and the hone from rotting up in the old dark corner of the antque store I hunted them down in.

hone
I got to use this baby and it has really brought back my edge to sharpness again, It took form last year untill now to start to pull because i have soo littole hair to cut. Still dont know any more about the Laudys hone. if anyone has one of these or knows anythign about this brand please let me know, but for what i paid for it im more than happy the the edges it produces.

Barber's hones are fun, just slap some wet lather on them with your brush, make 3-4 strokes and you're all set to shave again.

yep
thats what i did i used my leftover lather and did 5 swipes and it really brought the edge back to life again.

Thanked: 2209One of the properties of kerosene is that it is a very fine oil. It has the same function as water or lather. It reduces the buildup of swarf on the hone...and it stinks!
