I've never tasted a hone, but I really like the smell of my naturals. The Maruichi has a real earthy smell to it, and the Charnley Forest is mounted to a pitch covered base which smells like old galleons..!

Disburden that is not a bad idea. I've been using chocolate syrup, strawberries and whipped cream on my coticule, but salt only on the DMTs

But that's not as weird as some of the nearly romantic hand oiling of strops that's been going on around here......just ain't right.

If you're a true connoisseur you can run your tongue a long a nice old oil stone. Nothing beats that gamie flavor, just watch your cholesterol rise, baby!

I heard the 12k Naniwa tastes like taco's...?
