Thanked: 74You might also want to think about a D8C. I spent about a year without one, and now that I have one, I am not sure how I lived without it. You can lap stones with it and set bevels. If you are strapped for cash, I would recommend the D8C over the 1k stone. Especially since it sounds like you already have a 3k stone.
320 - 3k is a big step, but the flexibility of the D8C might be worth it.
