    I have a red hone unfortunetly so far I was not able to ID it reliably. Also a friend of mine has simmilar colour to mine in size 5x1 and box simmilar to those Thuringians and Eschers.

    HOLY CRAP!!! THAT IS SOME INTERESTING HONE YOU GOT THERE SON!!!... so how does it shave whats the finish like? Haven't been this excited over a hone in some time.

    To be honest so far I do not have specific means for determining the quality of the edge it gives for example a camera with decent lense/microscope. Comfortability of the shave is also not much relevant with my whiskers as I find that often heavy blades with no HHT ability give me better shave than those with. Also I concentrate more on other hones at present but you gave me some motivation to possibly try it over the weekend. I will keep you posted.
    I bought this one more like mistake as original colour of it was different. You know grime black.

    As promissed info on my hone. By comparison it is somewhere between 6-8000. Shave was quite agresive. Feedback while honing was on german Bismarck (original) ok but with Sheffield (Gilbert bros) it was nearly non existent.

    check this 1 ,does it look like this?i believe i have the same stone.exept mine is rectangled shaped.what kind is it?whats the grit,its pretty fine.but im not sure.need info.
