Thanked: 45Well, here is an update. I did 50 laps on my Boker King Cutter and shaved with it yesterday. The shave was nice! The razor was previously finished on my Escher and I believe the "Charnley" has improved the edge. I might try spending some more time on it to see if it gets any better. I think it's the real deal! I'm going to try some of my other razors and see what happens.

Thanked: 1936That's good news! From what I have read, 50-100 passes on a CF are quite common considering how slow cutters they are. The more I use mine, the more I like it myself.

What that stone is is the stone that will lead to a lot of jealous feelings from other Straight razor users who know their finished edges will not be as good as yours.
