    Default first barber hone

i just got a William Enders Oak Leaf barber hone in my mailbox. it's in really good condition. is there anything i need to do to tune this up before use? wash it with soap and water and a green scrubby? gently caress it with some wet/dry sandpaper?

Soap & water til it is clean. Then you should be good to go. Remember, this is a touch up hone, not a finishing hone. Use it when the shaving edge is not as good as it was. 5-10 laps, with water or lather, strop and shave. Repeat if necessary.
