I have no idea what all that junk is for.

Just kidding...I would probably treat the scrub leather with Chromium Oxide paste or Diamond paste, spray one felt pad with the .5 Diamond spray, spray the other felt pad with either CrOx spray or .25 Diamond and leave the Premium 1 leather untreated for general stropping and travel strop use.

When you spray the felt be careful not to get it too wet or it will swell up. If you want, stop over some time and we can mess up all your pads at once......I'm pretty sure you can get replacements.

Premium leather is for normal day to day stropping (I use the horsehide and love it)
The felt pads are for your sprays or paste. I use a .5 diamond spray on one felt and Crox on the other for touch up. The rough leather could be used before the smooth leather or I suppose you could use paste on it.
I use the horsehide and the felt myself. I do like the system.

Well last night i used the spray that came with the kit. 8 laps with the felt/spray, 20 with my cloth strop and 50 with the leather paddle.

Now before this i was happy with my shaves, but after that little touch up its noticably better. I guess every 2 months ill do this. Great advice Bill!

It's better IMO to keep your razor sharp (as you are doing) than to let it degrade to the point where it needs a re-honing. You should be able to go for quite a while before you need to send it out for honing.

Glad to see everything is going so well for you. Nice work!

The SRD Wool Felt and Diamond Spray are awesome, it'll take you to the next level.
I use it, and get great edges on shave ready blades...

Wow, nice present! I just looked it up at SRD, and the gift card my mother-in-law gave me will just cover it and shipping. I'm glad you brought it to my attention.

Merry Christmas to All, and to All a Good Shave!
