The norton 4/8 combo is a well known stone among SRP members and very reliable. I have personally used it before with my Tramontina chef knife which i bought from smokekitchen after reading a review. Here's the Tramontina chef knife review on smokekitchen

The honing stone they have seems to be the big gun nowadays. I got recommended it by chef's knives to go. they gave me free shipping and everything. Hope that helps!

Yeah, but the recommended stone would have been the current 'go to' at the time.
