    i reckon that'd show if the plate was concave, but not if it were convex. id use a known straight edge.

    If it were concave or convex it would show a "bow" on the face or back of the hone silly...

    That would only be true if the plate was warped, as opposed to just uneven on one face. I'm not sure what their manufacturing process is like or what causes a non/flat front, but wouldn't go by a test of the back to tell me something about the front, just in case.

    i'm the type of person that likes to learn how to do things on my own no matter what or how hard but thank you very much holli4pirating a kind offer indeed. the razor is a dorko 6/8 hollow ground, or a full hollow ground (idk the difference).
