The yellow side is yellow, the blue side is blue and they are both Belgian. LOL

Not sure if I'm not getting the joke, but here goes... The yellowside is referred to as a Yellow Coticule and the blue side is referred to as a BBW for Belgian Blue Whetstone... Normally you do a bevel set with thick slurry on the coticule side, flip it and do the same on the blue side, then flip it again and build a thinner slurry on the yellow side that you slowly dilute until you are honing with clear water on the stone.

Coticule.be is an excellent resource if you own a coticule or bbw.

Its usually because we have had a woman for a while that we eventually turn to the stones.

Robin has excellent info on his site, but many of us do it differently. I would use a 1k synthetic stone for the bevel, thick slurry eventually watered down on the blue and then again on the yellow.

A friend is come to visit me and have bring some eastern naturals with him, and this is a result of the meet with my western naturals. It was a nice afternoon dedicated to hone razors and playing with the stones. Hope you like.
    On the stones again.
