Jnats are way too complicated. Just get an Escher.

There's very few if any who haven't been completely satisfied with an Escher's edge. I think Jnats are potentially dangerous. How many have only one Jnat? It seems that they invoke a quest for the finest one...

JNats require some home work, but can be a whole lot of fun, and to many of us, that is a big reason for staying in this sport.

I wouldn't dream of recommending one to a beginner honer though.
As something to explore for the experienced honer, it is hard to think of anything that is more fun.

I had about 3 Jnats that costed maybe 1/5 the price of an Escher, and finished in the same category. Are they easy to use? No, I am still learning after maybe 40 razors on that stone, but thats part of the fun. But the shaves have been very nice from about the 5-10th try, and much more fun than just doing 30 strokes with water only on a thuri
