I have always looked at my stones with original ink stamps as slightly more desirable and more marketable. In the old days very few mines stamped their stones with the actual name of the mine but most of those stamps you see on old stones were registered with the Kyoto Mining Union even if the mines actual name was not included in the design. Many if not all of the stamps were inked on the stones by the stone wholesaler or consolidator in through the 1960s. Alx

It is possible to have one stone and be happy! If your stone is doing it's job as a finisher then if you must have another go for another that is in the middle that you can use it with Naguras and save the finisher for the final steps. It will save you the hassle of constantly flattening the Asagi.

Very nice stone how does it behave in use?

    Take Care,
    Richard

I love the stone....performs better now that it is flat and the surface clean.
