    Here are some pictures of my latest acquisition, an Awasedo Shiro Suita Toishi (dimensions ca. 180 x 65 x 27mm, weight: 790 g).

    I've also lapped the backside of the hone as it was already very flat (saving the stamps ).







    On kitchen knives (here a Kamo Kenyo) it leaves a very nice kasumi finish:


    A soft and very (!) fast hone - just what I was looking for! Originally I intended it to be a prefinisher for razors, but surprisingly it leaves a very comfortable and mellow edge (albeit not as sharp as my Oozuku or Nakayama Maruka).
