Gents, would anybody know if japanese-whetstones.com of Garrett is still in operation? I placed an order for a few whetstones 3 days ago but am not getting replies for my emails. There are also no signs of my order being fulfilled when I log into my account.

Garrett has not been active on this site in quite some time. He also hasn't made any updates to his website in about the same amount of time. I hope you get everything figured out. I'll send him an email to see if I can get any update.

Yup. The seller bought an estate lot from a pro woodworker. All the tools were top of the line, and they simply said the stones probably were too. And the pics were horrible. Blurry, and didn't show the ends of the stone. I had my fingers crossed that it was even a true kiita, the maruka stamped was a pleasant surprise! It feels very hard, and very fine. Testing to commenced later today. Oh yeah, it was only $175 shipped!!
