    it is not Belgian puprple.
the stone which is in the picture a lot faster cutter and grit level will be a little higher.
It is in fast oil stone.
will give app 4-8k level edge.
    hope this help.

I would love to know what it is. I know it's not a Belgian purple.

Here are my meager contributions to the knowledge base regarding this stone. The first picture is my eggplant colored La Petite Blanche coticule laying on top of two combination stones with their BBW showing. The second picture is the same stone (middle) compared to the two BBW wet. The smaller is the bbw side of a coticule that was mined by a company no longer in business, and the larger (longer) bbw is the combo side of a more conventional LPB

Based on the texture of the surface of the stone on ebay, my guess is BBW, despite the lighter color. It's not a coticule, I'd wager, but I really don't know. You can clearly see the surface texture of my eggplant colored stone is different than the one on eBay

There is an old layer of coticule that comes out bluish pink but is not a Belgian Blue whestone. I don't know if this is one of those layers but that did exist.
