Just remember that like any natural stone it may be great for razors, but then again may not be. I don't suggest the chinese natural stones for beginners as a rule, but many have done well with them.

And also with this one specifficaly. What you get does not mean is what you see on the picture. Recently there were advertised stones of Yellow ish Green colour and what people were getting were grey stones with darker streaks/veins in them.

You can buy them here in the states at Woodcraft. An 8x2 is around 20.00 That one is only 6x2 and the seller is in Poland. I'm not sure what he charges for shipping.
    Something to consider.

They weren't actually advertised as being yellow but the new pics he took and used showed them yellow apparently because the color of the pictures were off. It's something that can happen when you use cheap or old digital cameras, mine included

If you're going to buy a cheap Guangxi you might as well pay a little bit extra for a 8x2". The longer strokes will speed up the honing.

i just want to find a nice cheapish stone that will do the job. I have gotten pretty good with my 250/1000, 1200 DMT, and 4k/8k stones, and i just want to take the next step

I like my Chinese 12k. And it offers a very food finish, especially for this price. You can give it a shot, there is nothing to loose. With slurry it works faster, and with plain water it gives a very fine edge. I tried it with oil, it gets extremely slow.

That looks exactly like the Ch12K we all talk about. The pic is the same on various websites.
