I don't know how much shipping to Canada is, but Straight Razor Designs has the 8" DMT 325 for $47.

I guess it would be best to get the 10" then.

I'd also recommend the 325. I also have an XX (120) that I use to lap stones that are really way out of flat. I start that that and finish with the 325. I haven't used the 220 and it might leave your stone smooth enough but I know the 325 will deliver the goods.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 2209I would get the 4 x 10 325. That extra inch wide and 2 inch longer length will be very useful on a 3 x 8 hone.

Go for the 325. The bigger size would be handy, and the XC is a bit too coarse, and even after a break in period, leaves scratches in naniwas, and natural stones.

Thanked: 0I use a 325 and for large or extremely hard stones I use plate glass with silicon carbide. I have heard people complain about ruining there 325 on certain hard stone like an Arkansas Translucent.
