Those kind of stones do not absorb oil, so, don't worry. Wash them after honing, and if there is still oil on it, give it a very fine lapping. I use WD40 and it's not bad.

I have seen from the same seller TOS stones rated as 15k+ (not WOA, TOS, white, not grey, with the dots) so I'm not sure how accurate is his grit rate system is. The old yellow lake stones, don't know about the Salmen, are around 8 to 10k with water. Clearly a little coarser than eschers and the fine C12k. When you test them, tell us about the new ones.
