You might laugh, but I use a Norton India stone. I didn't like synthetic waterstones. I think there are probably better options than the India, but it does what I need it to. Same price you could get a King though I think.

i have used the indian oil stone before too its great for bevel setting on wedges and the scratch pattern is lighter then a dmt .
