    Default Favorite Bevel Setter....

    What is everyones favorite stone for setting bevels? I got a 220/1k norton when I bought my 4/8 but dont really like it so I need some ideas on a new one

    A lot of people use the King 1k and seem to like it.

    i like my boker 1k but it is a soft stone. i also have a 1.2k king and a 1.5k boker they are great too. i'm not a fan of the norton 1k.

    I have used several bevel setters and in my opinion, the King 1k reigns over them all. Haven't tried the Chosera yet though.

    You might laugh, but I use a Norton India stone. I didn't like synthetic waterstones. I think there are probably better options than the India, but it does what I need it to. Same price you could get a King though I think.

    King 1k is a great stone, it doesn't gouge a scratch pattern like some other 1k's and you can't beat it for the price.

    I like the speed and feel of the Norton 1000. The 220 is way too soft, though.
