Default What natural stone creates a brownish green slurry?

Yep..kinda like baby doo doo.. The slurry soaks up the water it seems, and turns to mud quickly. Smells earthy, although nothing like an Arkansas, or coticule.

I honestly have no idea, but a picture tells a thousand words.

    Default Hone ID

53 views, and no guesses...better add some more pics. The two in the middle are what we are curious about here. Top one is a vintage "extra fine" coticule. Bottom's a lily white washita. Figured maybe they'd help for a color comparison. Idk. I'm hoping somebody says CF...It'd be really nice if they were. This was a massive speculation on my part for which I'm hoping I won't be disappointed. Also, if my honing worked, and if I'm reading the scope right, I've got a perfect black line on a hundred strokes with oil. I had to use the back side of one, as the fronts are still a little worn.

It's the back side of the second from top stone.

CF is blue green in color and releases whitish slurry.

How about Lyn Idwall? Anything finer than a coticule is what I'm shooting for here. lol.

Very interesting stones. Where did you buy them?
    Definitely no CF IMO.
