Great Lucky find. Hate to say it but I feel a little bad for the guy that sold them. I would probably have opened my big mouth about the value and blown the deal for myself.

I understand exactly what you mean...but then, I actually 'made his day' with what I offered...he was very happy. Besides...that's what 'Garage Sales' are all about aren't they? Getting a bargain on something that you want but that they have no need for...

Anyway...he was happy, and so am I!

Sounds like you gave the guy a fair deal. Nice to hear that. Congrats on a dream score!

    Default NOS Coticules

Here are a couple of pics of the Coticules that I also picked up at this garage sale. They are also NOS factory new. There are Five 4 inch by 2 inch hones and one 5 inch by 2 inch hone that is a private label Coticule: "Facos Natur-Abziehstein" ... labeled 'Germany'. I am not familiar with this company but obviously they marketed the Belgians. These are all old, natural deep rock Belgians and perfect size for Barber Hones.

May I suggest that you keep 1 of each in NOS condition as an investment. Then use only one of the remaining Frictionites and Coticules. The rest can be sold/traded.

So what about the barber chairs? Is there one in your shave den now?
