It's definitely a Barber's hone, great for touch up's. I haven't heard of that name specifically, but I'm sure it's good. Double sided, I'm sure. It also looks to be in good shape. As long as it's smooth while honing, you really don't need to do anything. They're hard as diamonds. I've cleaned up a few in my day, and had to use a DMT XX, even that took a while. Once you do something like that, you have to re finish it with wet sandpaper to get the scratches out. I took mine up to 1000g, and they look brand new. Normally, you only do 3-5 laps with lather, water, or even dry. I've mostly used mine dry with great results. For a while, (As an experiment) I was touching up a razor every week, 3 laps, just to see how it would do. It stayed sharp, never lost it's edge, and I didn't notice any hone wear. They're great hones.

Thanked: 13245Rich, I have found that if you have to do the Dmt 120 -325 route that taking them to the Chosera 1k after that really slicks them back up, and does it really fast no muss no fuss.. I have only used the Chosera so far for it I just went there first because it is a very hard stone, haven't tried it with other 1k's yet...

Best and fastest way to lap a barber hone is to find an apart barber hone and use it for lapping others. No barber hone us as hard as the apart. If you drop it on the floor the floor Will break and hone stay intact.
