    Default Travel kit for honing

Inspired by a couple friends up here, I decided to make a few cases for my various needs in honing.

The one I'm showing here is for traveling to conventions or just to have an easy way to bring stones along for when sharpening for, and instructing people locally.

It's not all that big, so there was only room for the bare necessities
Here's what I was able to fit in:

    Y/G Escher
La Dressante au Bleu, natural combo Coticule
    Nakayama Maruka Asagi
    Shoubudani Asagi
    Oozuku Asagi, travel size
    DMT 325, 8" by 3"
    Chosera 1-5-10K
    Sigma Select II, 13K
    Suehiro Gokumyo 20K
    Norton 4/8K combo stone

I will be making one or two more, one for kitchen knife honing and one for all the other naturals I have.

Anyone else out there who have done something similar or have other solutions for this?

Nice idea, good looking case, hones look like are very well protected, but looks like there room for one more on top of the 4k/8k norton!

Looks safe enough to become a travel/storage case. Well thought out.

For some reason I feel kinda guilty

I redid my "main" case and made another one for the smaller stones this weekend:

This is the "main" case holding the Chosera 1K with slurry stone and Shapton Pro 2K, 5K, 8K and 12K

This is my "small stone" case, holding from top left: Swaty - Guangxi/C12K w/slurry - Dragons tongue w/slurry - Llyn Melynllyn w/slurry.
From top right: Vintage Thuri #1- Norwegian slate - Vintage Thuri #2

The rest of my hones haven't gotten their own house yet

    You should!!
Yours and Nikko's cases was what inspired me to make a couple of my own.
No more lugging around with those big plastic buckets...

I see that you and Nikko are still ahead when it comes to fit and finish in your cases, but I've gotten the contact info on Nikko's supplier, so there!
I'll be up o standards soon enough
