Thanked: 43I have found with the ones I have that after a few passes the stone releases it's own slurry and that's all I need.

I have a few, and prefer a light slurry. My Dk blue Thuringian say's to use just water and it'll create a slime as you hone, other's say to use the rubbing stone....
You can actually use a Chinese 12k slurry if you don't have an Escher or Thuringian slurry stone....And of course, you can create one with a diamond plate etc.....
It was Sham that told me about the Chinese 12k slurry stone. It does work well....Last edited by zib; 06-27-2012 at 02:54 AM.
