    Default Identification of this hone.

    Im in the process of getting a hone, and I would like you guys to give your advise on what type of hone this stone is. Have any one see this hone in this wooden box?

    I do not think that is a good stone. it would not work well for razors at all. can you please provide info as to who is selling it, so I can scold them for selling such junk.

    and so I can buy it out from under you





    J/K that looks like a very nice stone. I would jump on it all day long.

    Well heck I wonder what it is. Needs a little time with some sandpaper I think, but let us know how it goes. I've never seen that label. Of course I haven't been around since forever, but it is new to me anyhow. Good luck with it, and let us know how it acts. Soft, hard, edge results, etc. Pretty neat, although for some reason it makes me feel suspicious.

    The seller saying its an Escher Hone. Has any one seen an Escher hone like this? I would like to know. Many thanks

    sorry to say this, but that is definetely not an Escher nor a Thuringian hone. Can you supply a picture of the hone wet and one with slurry?
